대구 물산업 시장개척단, 말레이시아서 150억 수출 상담 성과

대구시와 한국환경공단, 한국물기술인증원에 대구 소재 물 관련 기업 8곳으로 구성된 대구 물산업 시장개척단이 말레이시아에서 150억 원 상당의 수출 상담 성과를 얻었다.
25일 대구시에 따르면, 대구 물산업 시장개척단은 20일부터 22일까지 3일간 말레이시아 연방 수도 쿠알라룸푸르에서 열린 물산업박람회(Asiawater)에서 총 79건에 1,050만 달러(한화 약 150억 원)의 상담 실적을 냈다. 시장개척단에는 대구시, 한국환경공단의 국가물산업클러스터, 한국물기술인증원 외에도 물 관련 8개 기업으로 한국유체기술과, 블루센, 문창, 에스씨솔루션글로벌, 탑전자산업, 바이오세라, 강원파이프산업, 더오포가 속해 있다. 이들 기업 8곳은 스마트 수질 분석기, 스테인리스 물탱크, 산업용 내시경 카메라 등의 경쟁력 있는 기술을 보유하고 있다.
시장개척단은 국내 강소기업의 해외시장 진출을 돕고 주요 물 관련 기관과 협력체계를 구축해 국내 우수 물 처리기술을 홍보하고 동남아 시장 진출 기반을 닦기 위해 결성됐다. 말레이시아 물사업박람회에는 지난 2023년에 이어 올해 두 번째로 참가했다. 이번 박람회에선 대구시 지원을 받아 말레이시아 현지 물 관련 기업 및 발주처 등과 미팅을 가졌고, 기업 홍보관 및 기술설명회 등을 마련했다. 또 150억 원 상당의 상담 성과 외에도 현지 시장 진출과 관련한 3건의 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.
대구시는 박람회에서 홍보관을 운영하고 SIRIM(말레이시아 표준산업연구원), SPAN(말레이시아 국가 수자원 서비스 위원회) 등 주요 현지 물 관련 기관과 한-말레이 물 산업 협력 세미나를 열었다. 말레이시아 지방 정부인 셀랑고르(Selangor)주의 상수도 공기업 아이르 셀랑고르(Air Selangor)를 방문해 정수장의 디지털 전환 및 기술 혁신을 공유하는 등 현지 물 산업 관계기관과 협력 구축에도 힘을 쏟았다.
권오상 대구시 환경수자원국장은 “이번 시장개척단 파견은 지역 물 관련 기업이 해외 진출을 모색하는 데 큰 도움이 됐다”며 “앞으로도 물 관련 기업을 적극 지원해 대구시가 세계 물 산업을 선도하는 도시로 발돋움하는데 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
